SANS a handful of key players, reigning champion EcoOil-La Salle faces a tall order against a vengeful Marinerong Pilipino-San Beda in the 2023 PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup on Tuesday at the Ynares Sports Arena.
The Green Archers (1-0) are to miss the services of brothers Mike and Ben Phillips, who are member of the Gilas Southeast Asian Games pool, when they duke it out in the main game against the (0-1) Red Lions at 4 p.m.
But the Green Archers vowed to be ready against the odds.
"We'll be shorthanded but we will come prepared," said deputy mentor Gian Nazaro, who is calling shot for La Salle while new head coach Topex Robinson is in the United States.
"We know that San Beda can play. Alam namin yung potential ng San Beda and we have a lot of respect to coach Yuri (Escueta) and his staff. We're really gonna prepare for them."
