Pogoy on cloud 9 as latest member of 5,000-point club

ROGER Pogoy is on a roll with TNT.

The veteran guard became the latest Tropang 5G player to join the 5,000-point club, while leading the Tropang Giga's grand slam bid in the PBA Philippine Cup.

Pogoy achieved the mark during the team's 80-79 squeaker against Magnolia that clinched for TNT a semifinals berth.

He reached 5,000 points late in the first period and finished the game with a team-high 18 points, seven rebounds, and five assists as TNT made the semifinals for the third straight time in Season 49.

On Wednesday night, the 33-year-old guard out of Far Eastern University received the special PBA plaque for his Career Achievement Award.
