ALMOND Vosotros made a grand return on a TNT side whose backcourt has recently been ravaged by injuries to key players.
The 35-year-old Vosotros was signed by the Tropang 5G for the rest of the PBA Philippine Cup where the franchise is seeking to complete a rare grand slam.
And he made an immediate impact in the team's 90-74 win over Northport, scoring 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting from three point range.
Coach Chot Reyes knew Vosotros could be a big help for the Tropang 5G, having been with the franchise since 2019 while vying time in both the team's 5-on-5 and 3x3 rosters.
"Naubos na mga point guard namin. We figured that Almond could be a big help. And we are very grateful for it," said the TNT mentor.

Vosotros came on board as injuries hit the team and left the Tropang 5G without leader Jayson Castro (knee), Commissioner's Cup Finals MVP Rey Nambatac (groin), and just recently, back up Jielo Razon (appendix).
"We knew that we would need him (Vosotros) here because we've lost Jielo Razon due to
Appendicitis. Walang Jayson, walang Rey Nambatac," Reyes pointed out.
Vosotros was grateful for the opportunity to wear the TNT jersey again after initially parting ways with the franchise a few weeks ago.
"Thank you sa opportunity. Thank you kay coach Chot, sa lahat ng coaching staff na nabigyan uli ako ng second chance," he said.
Vosotros was part of the TNT team that won the season-opening Governors' Cup championship and was in the reserved when the Tropang 5G repeated in the Commissioner's Cup.(RG)
