JUST one message on the eve of the PBA Season 50 draft, helped Yukien Andrada to relax and settle down.
With butterflies in his stomach, the forward out of San Beda managed to loosen up the moment he received a text from elder brother and former PBA player Yutien Andrada.
"He actually gave me good luck on Saturday and gumaan ang loob ko from that," said the younger Andrada.
All of the apprehensions finally ended the moment Andrada heard his name called on stage as the no. 6 overall pick by Magnolia during the Sunday proceedings at the Mall of Asia Music Hall.
Yutien was super proud of his brother when he learned his younger sibling was drafted and will now have a chance of following in his footsteps at playing in the highest level of basketball in the country.

The elder Andrada was a third round pick by Barako Bull in the 2015 draft, but played majority of his career with Alaska.
Last year though, the 6-foot-5 Yutien underwent operation from an aortic aneurisym.
But he's now back and playing once again, according to Yukien, who looks forward to seeing his brother watch him play his first game with the Hotshots should the team officially signs him.
"Actually naka-recover na siya (Yukien) and he's now playing again in the 3x3," Yukien said of his brother.
At the same time, the 24-year-old Andrada thought the pre-draft workout he did with Magnolia helped him convinced the team to select him as its first round pick over highly-touted prospects such as Jason Brickman and two-time MVP Will Gozum.

"Naging maganda yung ipinakita ko sa pre-draft workout, and I think that helped in coach LA's (Tenorio) decision," said Andrada. (RG)
