SAN Miguel and Rain or Shine accomplished what they are supposed to do, in the process advancing trouble-free to the semifinals of the 11U division in the 2025 Batang PBA age-group tournament on Friday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.
The Batang Beermen drubbed Terrrafirma (1-2), 66-46, to complete a three-game sweep in Group B while the Batang Elasto Painters secured the second semis berth in the same group with a 71-50 trashing of last year's champion Talk 'N Text, 71-50, for a 2-1 record.
The Batang Dyip finished the eliminations with a 1-2 mark while the Batang Tropang 5G wound up winless in three games.
Christian Emmanuel Tan and Kerby Adriel Cruzim tallied 15 points each to lead the way for the Beermen, who will face Group A's No. 2 team NorthPort (2-1) in the knockout semifinals on Saturday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Ralph Lucas Sy and Glenn Mikael Mabulac also made their presence felt with 12 and 10 points, respectively, for the unbeaten Batang Beermen.

Rain or Shine, on the other hand, avoided a possible tie with Terrafirma by dominating TNT behind the 14 points of Xavier Jeongco.
Ulan Rico and Kyrie Erickson Llego added 12 points apiece for the Batang Elasto Painters, who will face Group A's unbeaten top seed Meralco (3-0) in the other semifinal.
In the 9U division, Prince Sirius Selibio dropped 30 points as Blackwater topped Magnolia (1-2), 56-50, to finish the elims without a loss in three games.
But the limelight fell on Christian Jacob, who tallied a tournament record 40 points in leading Converge (2-1) to a 71-50 rout of Ginebra (0-3).
Based on their rankings, Blackwater will battle Ginebra while Converge will take on Magnolia in also in a knockout semifinals. (JBU)
