FORMER Slam Dunk champion David Murrell is making a return to the PBA after being signed to a one-year contract by the Blackwater Bossing.
Murrell will reunite with coach Jeffrey Cariaso after he and his agent PJ Pilares of Titan Management Group met with Bossing team manager Johnson Martines to complete the deal.
His stint with Blackwater in the Kadayawan Invitational Basketball Tournament in Davao City was enough to impress Cariaso and management in giving the former University of the Philippines guard a roster spot for the upcoming 50th season.
Blackwater is going to be Murrell's fifth team since getting selected by NLEX in the 2021 Rookie Draft.

He later joined Converge in the 2022-23 season where he got to play under Cariaso during the PBA legend's lone conference coaching the new franchise in the Philippine Cup.
His other teams were Magnolia and Barangay Ginebra before being released after the 2024 season.
No PBA ballclub picked up Murrell during the Season 49 campaign.
