KNOWN as a defensive player, Glenn Khobuntin showed his offensive side too, by sparking TNT's shooting brigade in a 96-84 Game 2 win over Barangay Ginebra in the PBA Governors Cup finals.
The guard out of National University caught fire by going a perfect 3-of-3 from beyond the arc to finish as the top local scorers for the Tropang Giga with 13 in a tie with Calvin Oftana.
Khobuntin actually went a perfect 4-of-4 from the floor and added four rebounds and an assist in the win that put TNT on top of the best-of-seven title series, 2-0.
Coach Chot Reyes wasn't surprise with the way the 33-year-old guard contributed in scoring.
"Glenn has been shooting that all throughout, but sometimes he's inconsistent with it," Reyes said in the post-game presser at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. "But we talked about it as a team, and 'these are the shots that they're going to give you.'

"These are the kind of shots that Ginebra's defense gives us, and we just stepped up and capitalized."
Import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson also joined the party by going 6-of-12 from beyond the arc, and so did Calvin Oftana who was 3-of-7.
The Tropang Giga finished with a 14-of-37 clip from 3 or 38 percent shooting average.
"So we study what they (Kings) want to do on defense, so we just made sure that we have the counters," said Reyes.
"In the end when the situation calls for it, everyone is ready to pull the trigger, everyone. And everyone on our team knows, if they're open, if they're balanced, they can let it fly."
