No more sleepless nights for Trollano

DON Trollano vented his ire in Game 2 of the PBA Philippine Cup finals by coming through with clutch plays in San Miguel's 98-92 win over TNT Wednesday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The veteran guard scored 12 of his 22 points in the pivotal fourth and presided over a 10-3 run that allowed the Beermen to peel off from a tied 77-game for an 87-80 lead which San Miguel never relinquished.

He also added six rebounds and an assist while shooting 10-of-16 from the field in helping the top seeded team level the best-of-seven series at 1-1.

Trollano admitted having sleepless night following the team's controversy-marred 99-96 loss in the series opener.

"Actually hindi rin ako nakatulog. I'm so eager to bounce back," he said in describing his frustration in the wake of the Game 1 setback where Mo Tautuaa's game-leading basket inside the final minute was nullified.

But the Beermen were not about to be denied this time, and Trollano made sure of that.

The guard out of Adamson went on a personal 5-0 run highlighted by San Miguel's last three pointer for the night to take away whatever fight is left out of TNT, 94-84, with 3:32 left to play.

"Nagtiwala sa akin si coach (Leo Austria), kailangan ko lang suklian," stressed Trollano after the game.(RG)
