The game was tied at 71-71 when Meralco made the decisive move, which the comebacking Allein Maliksi capped with a three-pointer.
The Bolts dealt the Elasto Painters their first loss in the pre-season after back-to-back wins over Converge and NLEX, respectively.
The loss spoiled Stanley Pringle's first out-of-town game for Rain or Shine.
