AS injuries continue to ravage TNT in the PBA Philippine Cup finals, San Miguel keeps on reinforcing its own roster.
The Beermen quietly inserted back big man Andreas Cahilig into their lineup, further shoring up a frontcourt that has been nothing but dominant against the Tropang 5G in the best-of-seven title series.
Cahilig briefly suited up in Game 4 Sunday night in his first outing since hyperextending his left knee during the semifinals series against Rain or Shine.
The Fil-Swede was played for only 34 seconds by coach Leo Austria that allowed him to have a feel of the court again after missing out six straight games, including the first three matches of the finals.
Ironically, the 105-91 win in Sunday's Game 5 marked the first time the 34-year-old Cahilig is playing in the finals.

The veteran is not making any fuss about it, though.
"It was fun, but I just treated like any other game. I don't want to put it up much on the pedestal because then I would feel a bit nervous if I make too big a deal out of it," said Cahilig.
With the top seeded team now up 3-1 against the injury-riddled TNT side, Cahilig now has a chance to win his first ever championship together with Juami Tiongson, his former Terrafirma teammate.
The two came on board San Miguel in mid-season, acquired through a trade with the Dyip for the duo of Terrence Romeo and Vic Manuel.
While it would be a joy winning his first championship alongside Tiongson, Cahilig said it would be fulfilling winning together as an entire team.

"It's always nice to play with Juami, but I get to learn how to play with the other guys also. They are a great group of guys," he added.
Game 5 of the series is slated Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.(RG)
