JUNE Mar Fajardo is on track to claiming another Best Player of the Conference award as he leads the individual race in the PBA Philippine Cup.
The eighth-time MVP topped the five-man candidate released by the league at the end of the semifinals.
Despite nursing a calf injury, the 6-foot-10 Fajardo still posted impressive numbers of 16.0 points, a league-best 13.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.1 block shots to show the way with 39.6 statistical points.
Fajardo has won the BPC 11 times in the past, the last of which came in the season-opening Governors' Cup.
Robert Bolick of NLEX is at no. 2 with 36.6sps behind his average of 19.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 6.6 assists, which is no. 1 in the league, although the Road Warriors failed to advance in the semis after losing two-in-a-row against Rain or Shine in the quarterfinals.

Fajardo's San Miguel teammate CJ Perez is expected to crowd out the 35-year-old big man for the award after coming in at no. 3 with 35.4sps (20.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.5 steals).
The conference top scorer Jason Perkins, averaging 23.2 points, and Magnolia sophomore Zavier Lucero, complete the Top 5 list.
Perkins is at fourth with 35.3sps (6.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists), while Lucero posted 18.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and no. 1 in block shots with 1.5 average for a total of 35.2sps.
Apart from Fajardo, only Perez out of the four others had previously won the BPC title during the 2023-24 Commissioner's Cup.
Winner of the last BPC award for Season 49 will be named in Game 4 of the finals between TNT and San Miguel.(RG)
